Legal notice
Dostlar Community is an independent Discord bot developed by Dostlar STUDIO. Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc. Dostlar Community is a third-party application built under Discord's developer terms; it is not affiliated with, endorsed or approved by Discord.
Limitation of liability
- Adding the bot to a server, choosing which features are on and configuring them is the responsibility of that server's admins. Dostlar STUDIO cannot be held liable if, for example, automod deletes a message or times out a member by mistake.
- Texts written by server admins (welcome messages, announcements, application forms, role menus) and content members send through the bot (tickets, applications, suggestions) are the responsibility of the people who wrote them.
- Levels, coins and leaderboards are for fun within the community; they have no real-money value and can't be sold or transferred.
- The service is provided "as is"; it is not guaranteed to run without interruption or errors. It can be changed, paused or ended without prior notice.
This page is for general information and is not a substitute for legal advice. The community's general legal notice: dostlarkonagi.com/yasal-uyari.
Privacy policy
Dostlar Community only processes the data it needs to work. There is no advertising, tracking or analytics; data is not sold or shared with third parties. The bot only runs on a server after the bot owner has approved that server, and it only keeps data for the features the admins turn on. Each server's data is kept separate; an admin of one server can't see another server's data.
What data we process
| Data | When | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| A member's Discord ID, XP and level, message count (not the content), minutes in voice, coins and daily reward streak | If Levels or Economy is on, as the member writes messages or stays in voice | Levels, leaderboard, level roles, economy and shop | As long as the bot is on the server; admins can delete a member's or the whole server's data |
| Moderation cases: member and moderator ID, type, reason, duration, date | When staff warn, time out, kick or ban, or when automod times someone out | Moderation history, automatic timeouts by warning count | As long as the bot is on the server; deleted when all of the server's data is deleted |
| Support tickets: IDs of the opener and the staff member who claimed it, topic, opening and closing dates | When a member opens a ticket | Ticket channel and ticket history | Closed tickets are deleted after 180 days. On closing, a transcript is posted to the server's own log channel; the bot doesn't keep it. |
| Applications: applicant's ID, form answers, result and reviewer | When a member submits an application form | Reviewing the application and sending the result | Decided applications are deleted after 90 days |
| Suggestions: author's ID, text, status | When a member sends a suggestion | Suggestion channel and voting | As long as the bot is on the server; admins can delete them |
| Giveaway entries: entrants' IDs, prize, winners | When a member enters a giveaway | Drawing the winners | Ended giveaways are deleted after 90 days |
| Quarantine record (account protection): the member's ID, the rule that triggered, channel IDs, a sample of the message (up to 500 characters), the roles to restore, the outcome | If account protection is on and a member posts a message flood typical of compromised accounts | Deleting the scam messages, timing the member out temporarily, restoring their roles later, reporting to staff | Ended quarantines are deleted after 90 days |
| Server settings: channel and role IDs, texts, bot language | When admins configure the bot | How the bot works on that server | As long as the bot is on the server |
| Server record: the server's ID and name, date added, approval status; for approval, the owner's username and the member count are shown to the bot owner | When the bot is added to a server | The approval gate and the bot owner's server list | As long as the bot is on the server; deleted 30 days after removal |
| Dashboard sign-in: Discord ID, username, avatar URL | When you sign in to the dashboard with Discord (OAuth2, "identify" scope only) | Session and checking the "Manage Server" permission | Only in the session cookie, 7 days |
| Change log: ID and name of the admin using the dashboard, action, date | When settings are changed in the dashboard or data is exported or deleted | Transparency: that server's admins see who did what | 365 days |
Message contents are not saved in the database. If automod is on, messages are read at that moment to apply its rules and are not stored. If admins set up a log channel, deleted and edited messages are posted to that Discord channel of the server, which is under the server's own control. If the bot is removed from a server, all of that server's data is deleted after 30 days.
Cookies and browser storage
- dcs (required, 7 days): signed session cookie; only created when you sign in to the dashboard.
- dcs_state (required, 10 minutes): a one-time value that protects the Discord sign-in.
- dc_lang (1 year): the site language you picked.
- Browser local storage: the server you last selected in the dashboard. It isn't sent to the server.
- There are no analytics, advertising or third-party cookies, so no cookie banner is shown.
Third parties
- Discord: the bot's messages, buttons and DMs (moderation notices, application results) and the dashboard sign-in go through Discord's infrastructure; Discord's own privacy policy applies.
- Cloudflare: the site is served through Cloudflare; standard technical data such as IP addresses may be processed by Cloudflare for connection security. The bot itself doesn't store IP addresses; to rate-limit sign-in attempts it keeps them in memory for one minute only.
- Hosting: the bot and its database run on a rented server; only the bot's account can access the data folder.
- All files, fonts included, are served from our own server; no requests go to Google Fonts or other third-party asset servers.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data and to object to its processing (rights under the Turkish KVKK, Article 11, and the GDPR). Server admins can export the server's data and delete a single member's data or all of the server's data in the dashboard under Data and privacy, so the quickest way is to ask the server's staff. Moderation cases may be kept for the server's safety. For other requests, write to [email protected]; requests are answered within thirty days at the latest. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. The community's general privacy policy: dostlarkonagi.com/gizlilik-politikasi.
Security
All connections are encrypted with TLS. The dashboard shows a server's data only to people with the "Manage Server" permission on that server and checks this permission again on every request. The database is kept in a folder only the bot's account can read; deleted records are also wiped in the file.
Age limit
Because the bot is used through Discord, Discord's age limit applies: you must be at least 13 years old, and older in some countries.
Terms of use
The service
Dostlar Community is a free Discord bot that offers support tickets, levels, moderation, welcome messages, applications, giveaways and similar features, together with its web dashboard. By adding the bot to a server, using its commands or signing in to the dashboard you accept these terms and the privacy policy.
Adding the bot and approval
- You may only add the bot to a server where you have the "Manage Server" permission.
- A newly added server waits for the bot owner's approval; until then the bot shows no commands there, handles no messages and stores no data. The bot owner may decline a server without giving a reason.
- Server admins decide which features are on and how they are set up. Letting members know what data the bot keeps (for example in the server rules) is the admins' responsibility.
Acceptable use
- The bot must be used in line with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines and with applicable law.
- The bot may not be used for harassment, spam, hate speech, illegal content or content that infringes the rights of others.
- Automated requests that overload the dashboard or the bot, attempts to get around rate limits or security measures and attempts to access other servers' data are prohibited.
Suspension and removal
- Server admins can turn features off or remove the bot from the server at any time. 30 days after the bot is removed, all of that server's data is deleted.
- The bot owner may remove the bot from a server because of abuse, a breach of these terms or capacity limits.
- The service as a whole can be ended with prior notice, or without notice where necessary. You can keep important data by exporting it in the dashboard.
Warranty and liability
The service is free and provided "as is". Dostlar STUDIO cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage, including outages, data loss, wrong moderation actions or a feature not working as expected. Liability that cannot be excluded by law remains unaffected.
Changes and governing law
These terms may be updated; the current version is always on this page, and the date of the last change is shown under the heading. The laws of the Republic of Türkiye apply; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. The community's general terms of use: dostlarkonagi.com/kullanim-sartlari.
